there are no instructions included for assembly or use but avery's website shows some good pictures-1St, press down lightly on the center post, rotate left, it pops up, insert center ring, twist right to lock, take the label place it sticky side up over the center disk, take the cd, face down, recorded side up, place on ceter post, push down-remove cd , smooth label-done!! Perfectly centered label.
I had to make 45 cd labels that looked professional and this item helped me put the labels on the CDs with ease - easy to use and very quick! I would recommend anyone to use this - even if it is for your personal cd/dvds.
Good tool to have for putting the labels on. However, there are no instructions of any kind with it. For a brief moment I did not know the center section would come up. Mine arrived in a collapsed state. Another note, the photo they show of the label applicator DOES NOT match what you receive. Their photo shows a cover over the disc that would be used to press the label down without getting fingerprints on the playing side of the disc. It does not come with this applicator device. Mine came is a plain white box (slightly crushed too). Nothing fancy like the ad shows.
Got this for a large project at home. It should make labels much easier to put 9n cd's.
This product will apply your labels perfect each and every time! Simply pop-up the center, remove the label backing and place on the device, gently drop the DVD/CD on the label: perfect center with no lumps or curls every time! This is far better than "trying" to center the label manually.
Applicator is extremely easy to use and applied all labels with minimal effort. Well worth the investment and a true time saver! Out of 50 labels applied with the first use, only had one label that was not completely flat and had wrinkles on it. Although it is simple to figure out how to use, there are no instructions provided.
I had a great number of disk to put face labels on and this product proved to be a life saver. When the labels went on the disk they look like a work of art.

THEN PUT CD/DVD LABEL SIDE DOWN AND PUSH SMALL CENTER BUTTON DOWN TILL TOTALLY FLAT AND LIKE MAGIC IT'S DONE! WHEN YOUR NOT USING IT- PUSH BACK DOWN AND TURN BACK AND FORTH UNTIL IT LATCHES AGAIN FLAT AND IT'S READY TO STORE! THIS IS ONE GREAT PRODUCT!!! AND COSTS $10.00 AT WALMART
Easy to work with, however the CENTER HUB part did NOT show up with the unit in the box. That could be used with AVERY CD labels 28669. The label #8960 shows on the second picture from left to have it at the side so the 9860 with the small hole would be used with the CENTER HUB off. Do we need to buy just the CENTER HUB separately?
Beautiful picture on the advertisement with the label flat in the holder. Have you ever pulled one of these self stick labels from its sheet after printing? It has a serious curl to the label. It will not lay flat on the holder. It makes it more difficult to position and make sure it does not leave you with a wrinkle in the finished product. It can be done, but requires more time and care to get it right. I have had a unit some years ago that had a curved holder for the label. As you pushed the CD onto the label the curved holder would flex until it was flat and the label was installed with less problem and better results. My problem was that I could not remember the manufacturer or locate a similar product.
